Dear Friends and Colleagues:
I appreciate your taking the time and commitment reviewing these lists of recent acquisitions. Our goal has always been to fulfill and nourish the scholar and librarian’s quest for unusual and hard-to-find Judaica and books on the Shoah. This is a dance we do together. It also involves your choosing to waltz along with us. Perhaps a tome or two will call out to you.
In the tumult and turmoil of the world we inhabit we often lose sight of what there is still to learn from the tragedies and sorrows of the past. Books can carry us on far away journeys of insight and exploration and also bring us close to our own interior homes. We so need to take good care and nourish ourselves.
May the days ahead be peaceful and filled with good health and companionship.
Shalom,
Ken
Below is an interview discussing my life in the Judaica book world done by my friend and colleague Rabbi Henry Hollander. I list it with much appreciation to him and the many librarians and scholars that have supported Schoen Books over the last 35 years and continue to do so.
